Looks like you just need to use the smudge more and look at the flow of your brush. Your use of color is great.
No offence but, EW THE SMUDGE TOOL. That’s the number one way to make something look 5967 times worse. EWWWWWWWW. That does not register as an option in my brain for a reason.
